John to romance Chitrangada in Shrishti Arya's next | Total Filmy

John has been paired with many A-list actresses on-screen before, but this time the 'Dostana' hunk will be seen pairing up with the 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi' famed star, Chitrangada Singh in Shrishti Arya's next.

Reportedly, this untitled project will be a romantic-comedy, directed by debutant director Kapil Sharma, son of the well-known astronaut, Rakesh Sharma.

MORE ABOUT THE UNTITLED PROJECT
Interestingly, Shrishti Arya, the producer of the film, loved the script of the film and gave a go-ahead.

The untitled project is a romantic-comedy which will have four parallel romantic stories, where John and Chitrangada form the first pair, while the other three are yet to be decided.

It's believed that John will portray the role of a playboy, and the movie is urbane.

Kapil Sharma, who has worked as an assistant director in projects like 'Drona', 'Being Cyrus' and 'The Darjeeling Limited', a Hollywood flick, felt that nobody else could have portrayed the playboy image aptly, except John.

KAPIL TALKS ABOUT THE MAIN LEAD
Commenting about his main lead, Kapil said, “More than just being a romcom, it is an urban, hip and cool take on today's trends and culture. I think there can't be anyone better than John who represents that bracket.

“He not only has international good looks, but is also a Mumbai boy.”

Regarding Chitrangada, the to-be director said, "I find her very sophisticated and gorgeous, but equally in tune with her culture and values.

“It's an exciting combination to have these two actors in the same film. Both John and Chitrangada play characters that are extremely real and easy to identify with.”
