Inspired by French impressionists, a Russian painter is all set to make her first impression on the city.Elena Vlasova is going to put her eight years of hard work on display at Alliance Francaise in Sector 36 from Thursday.
Made over eight years, the 29 oil and acrylic paintings include still lifes, landscapes, and portraits. An exhibition of French painter Claude Monet’s works in a Moscow museum drew her into the world of art. “The ideas were impromptu; I simply painted,” says the Russian-born former finance auditor settled as a housewife in Chandigarh.
