It was a day of love and what better way to celebrate it than with our four-legged friends!

Leisure Valley in Sector 10, Chandigarh, is playing host to a two-day dog show that began on Saturday. Chandigarh Kennel Club, which has organised the show, reserved the first day for pugs and labradors.

"We usually do something different every year. This time, we decided to have a separate show for labradors and pugs as they are the preferred dog breeds with tricity residents,” said Piyush Rai, the event organiser.

Love or like love? In either case, it is incomplete without a gift. Be it flowers or a small gift, somewhere the expectation for a token of love persists. While some are trying to make best efforts for their love interest, a few others are getting ready for first-time proposals.

“I am writing many letters to him expressing myself and have attached a few photographs of my memories with him. He is my childhood friend. I just hope to hear a yes from him,” says an 18-year-old schoolgirl.
Now that the D-day is here, we take a look at the gifts bought by the youth to impress their loved ones.

Men rule the world of culinary art. Think about master chefs and some names that come up to mind are Sanjeev Kapoor, Vikas Khanna, Ajay Chopra, and Kunal Kapur. Tarla Dalal long held the fort for women but it has now fallen to kitchen kings.

Chef Kunal Kapur has a theory on why men make good cooks.“In urban Indian society, parents encourage their daughters to go out and work, but once into marriage, women have to balance job with the responsibilities of cooking,” says Kapur, who was at the Dr Ambedkar Institute of Hotel Management, Chandigarh, to give students a demonstration of using avocado in the Indian cuisine. So, do the chefs cook at home? “Too much of cooking at work tires me so much that unless it’s a holiday, I also prefer not to,” said the culinary artist.
